Insight 360 License Expiration

An embedded license within Insight 360, versions 2.3.2 to 2.4, has expired and caused the program to stop functioning. The following error appears when Insight 360 is opened:

 

The license has been updated in Insight 360 version 2.5. The easiest way to resolve the issue is to update the Insight 360 software to version 2.5 or higher. In the event that a user cannot update to version 2.5 or higher, follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

Prerequisites 

PC and Mac users, download the patched license file.

PC

  1. Click OK.
  2. 32-bit users, follow the path: C:\Program Files\eInstruction\Insight 360\Tools\Resources

    64-bit users, follow the path: C:\Program Files (x86)\eInstruction\Insight 360\Tools\Resources

  3. Copy and paste the downloaded file (license.properties) into the Resources folder, overwriting the existing file.

    Insight 360 will now open without the fatal error message.

Mac

  1. Click OK.
  2. Follow the path: Applications/eInstruction/Insight 360/Tools
  3. Control-click Insight 360 Director and select Show Package Contents.
  4. Open the Resources folder.
  5. Drag the downloaded file (license.properties) into the Resources folder.

    The following message appears.

  6. Click Authenticate.

    The following message appears.

  7. Click Replace.
  8. If prompted, enter your credentials.

    Insight 360 will now open without the fatal error message.
