Importing Questions from ExamView into Blackboard

Prerequisites 

You must first export from ExamView.

How to import into Blackboard 6.0-8.0...

  1. Log into Blackboard.
  2. From My Courses, click the desired course.

    The Courses page opens.

    NOTE

    The imported test or question bank is associated with the course you select in this step.

  3. From the Tools panel, click the Control Panel icon.

    The Control Panel page opens.

  4. From the Assessment box, click the Pool Manager link for all Blackboard 6.0-7.0 files or for question banks exported to Blackboard 7.1-9.0. For tests exported to Blackboard 7.1-9.0 format, click the Test Manager link.

    The Pool Manager or Test Manager page opens.

  5. Click Import.

    The Pool Import or Test Import page opens.

  6. Click Browse to select the file.
  7. Click Submit.

    A successful import concludes with the message, "Pool Import Completed for <course_id>."

  8. Click OK to return to the Pool Manager or Test Manager screen.

    The new test or question bank appears in the list.

How to import into Blackboard 9.0...

  1. Log into Blackboard.
  2. Scroll to the Control Panel section on the left side of the screen and click Class Tools.
  3. Select Test, Surveys, and Pools.

    The Tests, Surveys, and Pools page opens.

  4. Click the Tests link on the Tests, Surveys, and Pools page.

    The Tests page is displayed.

  5. Click the Import Test icon.

    The Test Import page is displayed.

  6. Click Browse for Local File to select the file.
  7. Once you have located and selected the test you wish to import, click Open to attach the file.
  8. When the selected file name is displayed on the Blackboard window, click Submit.

    A successful import concludes with the message, "Test Import Complete."

  9. Click OK to return to the Test page.

    The new test or question bank appears in the list.
