Tracking Inventory

Kevin Herrholtz -

Most devices have a serial number that can be used to help track inventory. These serial numbers are in the form of bar codes on the back of the device that can be scanned to quickly copy the device's serial number. There are even mobile bar code scanner apps available for smartphones and tablets.

Mobi 360

On the back of the Mobi 360 is the model number, the part number with a code 93 bar code, and the serial number with another code 93 bar code. There is also a list of serial numbers on the shipping slip. The Mobi 360 also has a Kingston lock on the side that can be used to secure the device, if necessary.

The Mobi 360 receiver is not serialized. On the back of the Mobi 360 receiver is the part number, FCC ID, IC ID, and model number. The receiver can be stored on the back of the Mobi 360 or in the Mobi 360 dock when not in use.

Pulse 360/Spark 360

On the back of the Pulse 360/Spark 360 clicker is the model number and serial number with a data matrix bar code.
